Taiwanese clone of AKG 240 and I'm a bit furious/angry/tempted after reading the Headfonia review but I'll probably stick to my beloved AKGs

i900 omnia win mobile 6.5 ROM

I just finished flashing a i900 omnia for a good friend with a win mobile 6.5 ROM.

The rom is OCK Eclipse . I tried to do the flashing from a VMware but I had a lot of problems with the driver recognition from the guest OS. Anyway on native XP installation was fast and with no problems and now the phone is usable ...that gui from samsung was a piece of ....

Ubuntu 10.10

I really-really like meerkats so despite the fact that ubuntu is not the most hard core linux distro I had to try it out.

And this time I did a complete format of my system drive and installed ! not even a dual boot. Win XP is happy to live in a VMWare machine !

NAS with snake OS

As much as I like my synology the price tag is not so easy to swallow ! Enter the world of http://www.dealextreme.com/ and Snake OS .

with 40$ I was the owner of this little device and minutes later I had it flashed with Snake OS and all the basic functionalities of my synology were there for a fraction of the cost.

Flashing is easy and fast and my friend Pantelis who "stole" it from me and set it up to serve movies to his media player is super happy !

Job search

I'm officially in the process of searching for a new job. I know that times are difficult and people are strange and this is stressing me but a man has to do what a man has to do !

So if you are out there and somehow you know me ..keep an open eye for openings that I could fit !

And the big question is IT or non IT ...the answer is that I would really like a job that is not pure IT ! :)

Hello again !

Last post on this blog was more than a year ago and was about a MTB ride around the Marathon lake in the north part of Athens . Since then I’ve done the circle 3 or 4 times along with friends or in group rides with the cyclist-friends.gr forum.

After the fires of last week the ride will not be the same , the little church is burned and the fire only stopped when it reached the water.

And that’s not the end as the fire burned even more up to north suburbs destroying homes , cars , etc

And then to Sxoinias (Marathon beach) with the mountain bike from dirt roads.

Actually from the 35Km 10 where on tarmac.

We got lost many times as the only guide was printouts from Google Earth.

Total time was 4h , about 2 hours riding ( since Helen took the 35mm Nikon FM2 SLR with her)

weather station...not mine

While checking for a wether condtion report for the area around my house I found a new armature weather station which belongs to one of my classmates at high school.

The setup looks very tidy (compared to my attempts to setup a wifi hot-spot in my roof), and the info very useful.

Bike Report

From Anoixi to Kryoneri square and into the Parnitha forest towards the old palace.

I was just about to turn back after 8km (thinking the 8Km to reach home) when I meet 2 guys from my neighborhood and folow them into the forest.


In the way back we managed to squeeze our selfs into a BMW Z4 and scratch the pour "truck" with the bikes.
